The School Safe Drinking Water Plan was completed in Zhongtian Town Central School in Liangshan Prefecture of southwest China's Sichuan Province on September 16, 2013. An assessment group composed of donors and observers from Gongyi.sina.com.cn conducted an on-site visit to the project.

The project has provided safe drinking water sources and new wash-basins to the 425 students at Zhongtian Town Central School.

The assessment group also visited Shuanghekou Primary School and launched health knowledge training for the students there. Ji Tao, who is Jackie Chan's apprentice, performed with the students while Gongyi.sina.com.cn observer Zhang Liwei donated a water cup to each student in the two schools.

The China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) administers the School Safe Drinking Water Plan under the Water Cellar for Mothers Project to provide rural students with safe drinking water, sanitary toilets and health education. A fund of 2 billion yuan (US$ 0.33 billion) has been invested to benefit 101 schools in 11 provinces, providing safe water to 650,000 students and teachers.

The Water Cellar for Mothers Project was launched in 2001 by the China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) under the guidance of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) to help people, especially women, in the arid areas of western China to shake off poverty caused by water shortages.
