Mobile Medical Services Activity Kicks off in Luding of SW China's Sichuan

A mobile medical services activity titled Retracing the Route of the Long March and Delivering Health to Mothers was held in Luding County in Ganzi Tibet Autonomous Prefecture, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, on May 28.
The mobile medical services activity is an important component of a charity campaign titled Delivering Goodness to Millions of Households, Singing an Ode to the New Era and will be launched in several provincial regions together with Sichuan along the Long March route this year. The charity campaign is sponsored by the China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) to implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, carry out the arrangements made by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) on conducting the Following the Party's Leadership, Striving on the New Journey campaign and another themed campaign designed to encourage government employees to further improve their administrative services and demonstrate loyalty to the CPC, the country and socialism.

Zhang Jianmin, vice-president and secretary-general of the CWDF, said in her speech that a group of medical experts and volunteer doctors will be organized to visit local residents and hold free medical screenings and training sessions for them in a move to provide them with high-quality medical services and promote the China Health initiative.
Li Min, vice-president of the Sichuan Women's Federation, said medical vehicles from the Health Express for Mothers project will become a new window to promote the operation of medical assistance, the publicity of health knowledge and medical services for women and children during the mobile medical services activity, and added that local women and children will find enlarged access to health services and feel the caring and warmth of the CPC.
As of the end of 2020, the CWDF had donated 263 medical vehicles to Sichuan. On the occasion of the centenary of the CPC in July this year, the CWDF will donate one mobile clinic to Luding, bringing more love and assistance to local women and children.
During the gathering, medical experts in the sectors of gynaecology, pediatrics and neurology provided local women and children with medical inquiries and other services.
