Mobile Medical Services Activity Held in Yudu of E China's Jiangxi

A mobile medical services activity titled Retracing the Route of the Long March and Delivering Health to Mothers was held in a memorial square marking the departure of the Long March by the Central Red Army in Yudu County in East China's Jiangxi Province on April 28.
The mobile medical services activity is an important component of a charity campaign titled Delivering Goodness to Millions of Households, Singing an Ode to the New Era and will be launched in several provincial regions together with Jiangxi along the Long March route this year. The charity campaign is sponsored by the China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) on the basis of its charity resources to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and implement the requirements and instructions made by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) on conducting the Following the Party's Leadership, Striving on the New Journey campaign and another themed campaign designed to encourage government employees to further improve their administrative services.
A ceremony is held in Yudu, a county in east China's Jiangxi Province, on April 28 to kick off a mobile medical services activity titled Retracing the Route of the Long March and Delivering Health to Mothers.[ China Women's Development Foundation]
In her speech at the launch ceremony, Deng Xiaolan, vice-chairperson of the Standing Committee of Yudu County People's Congress and president of Yudu County Federation of Trade Unions, said it is a great honor and privilege for Yudu to be selected as the first stop of the mobile medical services activity. She stressed that the county will grasp the opportunity to thoroughly implement the spirit of the keynote speech given by President Xi Jinping, also general-secretary of the CPC Central Committee, during an inspection tour to Yudu in May 2019, do the utmost to bring more tangible benefits to local residents, and work harder to open a new chapter for its high-quality development in the new era.
Li Caiyun, assistant secretary-general of the CWDF, said the mobile medical services activity will be held together with the Health Express for Mothers project in several provincial regions along the Long March route to promote the Healthy China initiative, learn more about revolutionary stories, commemorate the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs, carry forward revolutionary traditions and send a gift to the CPC centenary.
So far, the CWDF has donated 127 vehicles from the Health Express for Mothers project to Jiangxi. It is planning to donate another 10 medical vehicles to the province, conveying more love and warmth to local people.

Meanwhile, the CWDF has organized medical experts in the fields of gynaecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology and psychology to provide prospective patients with multiple medical services during the themed event.

A delegation of professionals in mental health held a lecture for nearly 400 students from Yudu High School. Ophthalmologists visited an elementary school in Yudu and held free ocular disease screenings for about 800 students.

Moreover, specially invited medical experts shared professional knowledge and working experience with their counterparts from Yudu Maternity & Children Healthcare Hospital, receiving high acclaim from the latter.
The year 2021 is the centenary of the CPC and the 85th anniversary of the victory of the Long March. The CWDF will remain true to its founding mission and rally strength from all social forces to bring more love and caring to women living in former revolutionary bases, inherit the spirit of the Long March, strive for higher achievements on the path of the New Long March, and make more contributions to the China Health initiative.
