A charity auction raised funds exceeding 100,000 RMB (U.S. $16,000)  to  help needy children on the 20th anniversary of the founding of Future Sifang Group in northwest China's Gansu Province on October 10.

Co-sponsored by Gansu Women and Children's Development Foundation and other related associations, 46 landscape oil paintings by artist Ma Keli, Director of Gansu Calligraphy Association, and another 10 calligraphic works were selected for the charity auction.

According to the foundation, Future Sifang Group has so far contributed 610,000 RMB (U.S. $90,000) to the foundation through charity auctions.

"The fund will benefit needy children in Gansu and we will make best use of the donation," Kang Yahong, vice-president of Gansu Women's Federation and vice-president of the foundation said at the charity auction.
