With the support and active participation of the Council and its members, the HKFW has organized over 100 projects, activities and services during recent few years. In addition, the HKFW has set up four training centers, which are capable of providing local women with educational training and professional development.
The HKFW has promoted educational affairs amongst women and children in the Chinese Mainland. It has sponsored the construction of vocational schools, handicraft training centers, reading rooms and health clinics in mountainous regions over recent several years. More recently, it constructed five water facilities in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region with the Water Cellars for Mothers charity program and donated five mobile clinics to local women and children in western China.
Women in Hong Kong have become an indispensable part of mainstream society in the mainland and found opportunities to give back through their own social transformation. Going forward, the HKFW will continue to tap into the valuable resources, talents and potential of its members, to solicit contributions and participation in future endeavors.
